What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and respond to calls from patients and family members, assessing problems and delivering compassionate care
- Assess patient status and intervene based on established protocols and the patient's condition
- Document calls accurately and timely within the electronic medical records system
- Coordinate with on-call nurses to ensure timely nursing care and assessments
- Facilitate education and orientation for new personnel while maintaining productivity standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with no restrictions in all states of practice; compact licensure required
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of direct patient care in a hospice, home health, or oncology setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in triage protocols and crisis management in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy and customer service
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and documentation processes
