This role helps ensure timely availability of patient records and supports compliance with privacy regulations. Job Essentials • Scans and indexes documents into the electronic medical record system accurately and timely. • Files loose paper records and assemble discharged patient charts. • Maintains confidentiality of protected health information at all times. • Supports the release of information team in processing authorized record requests. • Responds to internal requests for chart access or information under direction of supervisor. • Performs clerical duties such as faxing, mailing, and organizing charts. • Participates in cross-training and professional development. Requirements: Requirements Experience • Prior HIM, clerical, or healthcare experience preferred but not required. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
