This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in engineering principles, allowing the intern to contribute to real-world projects that enhance system performance and efficiency. The intern will collaborate with experienced engineers to analyze system requirements, conduct simulations, and assist in the design of innovative solutions. By the end of the internship, the candidate will have gained valuable insights into the engineering process and the impact of high-speed systems on business operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to bridge academic knowledge with practical application in a dynamic work environment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCurrently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of high-speed systems and engineering principles.Proficiency in using engineering software tools for simulations and analysis.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrevious internship or project experience related to systems engineering.Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.RESPONSIBILTIESAssist in the analysis and design of high-speed systems to meet project specifications.Conduct simulations and tests to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with team members to document findings and present recommendations for system enhancements.Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and contribute ideas for innovative solutions.Support the engineering team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.SKILLSThe required skills will be utilized daily as the intern engages in hands-on projects that require analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in engineering software will enable the intern to conduct simulations effectively, providing insights into system performance. Collaboration skills will be essential for working with team members, ensuring that ideas and findings are communicated clearly. If laboratory work is required, all safety guidelines must be strictly followed. Telework may also be appropriate in some situations if permitted by the sponsor.
