Healthcare Specialist (Evening Shift) - Remote Opportunity
Job Summary:
As a Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and short-term therapeutic counseling to patients, families, and staff. You will work closely with the healthcare team to facilitate complex discharge planning and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Ā *Key Responsibilities:**
Ā Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of patients referred by physicians.
Ā Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address emotional, social, and financial consequences of illness or disability.
Ā Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement discharge plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Ā Serve as a liaison between Indiana University Health and state and county child and adult protective teams.
Ā *Requirements:**
Ā Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
Ā Current licensure or license eligibility in the state of Indiana as an HSPP, LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC is required.
Ā CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification may be required.
Ā Knowledge of state and county adult and child protective legal mandates, as well as principles of growth and development over the life span, is necessary.
