Head of Customer Evidence

The Global Customer Advocacy Team within the Global Demand Center is looking for a Head of Customer Evidence.
The Global Customer Advocacy Team is responsible for producing over 200 customer stories per year in collaboration with some of the world’s best-known brands who trust us to bring their success story to life. The Head of Customer Evidence is on point for managing a team of talented executive producers and a roster of award-winning global agencies who support Microsoft in project management, creative direction, video production, and story writing. The Head of Customer Evidence is also on point for representing the evidence team in C-level forums and leading discussions on the business and sales impact that customer stories deliver.
As the Head of Customer Evidence, you will report to the Global Senior Director of Privacy, Customer Advocacy, and Business Processes, and manage a team of Microsoft employees, vendors, and agencies. Your stakeholders will be product marketing, integrated marketing, technical subject matter experts, sales leaders, and most importantly customers. Your day-to-day activities will be a combination of managing the production pipeline across your team, personally overseeing the production of priority customer stories, and managing a multi-million budget.

Responsibilities
To succeed in this exciting, demanding, and highly visible role, candidates should possess the following:
• People management skills with a proven track record of helping grow talent and providing kind and direct constructive feedback.
• A portfolio of customer stories preferably in the B2B technology space and a deep understanding of the buyers’ journey.
• A creative point-of-view including the use of AI tools in story production
• Passion for influencing others to trust you and your team.
• Executive presence with the ability to connect customer evidence to business impact.
• Agency management experience and the ability to partner with our trusted agencies while keeping them accountable for delivering high-impact work, on budget, and on time.
• Effective communication skills including the ability to present data and reporting.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and at-scale production engines.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
• OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business
• OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business
• OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
• OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years people management experience.
• 10+ years’ recent experience overseeing the creation and production of customer stories (videos, and supplementary content, including written stories, quotes, social posts, etc.) used in high profile events, websites, social, blogs, and other high-reach forums for a Fortune 100 company or equivalent experience.
• People management experience leading teams of 20+ individual contributors and vendors worldwide.
• Proven track record in creating and presenting to senior leaders and customers and landing customer story plans, expected outcomes, and dependencies.
• This position is remote and will require occasional travel.
Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
