Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, process, and audit employee time reports to ensure accuracy and completeness, adhering to internal payroll rules and federal, state, and local regulations.
Post pay, tax, and benefit changes, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring seamless payroll operations.
Balance and reconcile employee time reporting and payroll accounting records, meeting agency, city, and other processing requirements.
Provide reports detailing labor-related data to supervisors and managers, supporting informed decision-making.
Consult with employees and supervisors to explain and interpret payroll rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll problems, analyzing time and attendance data, and making corrections as needed.
Research variances in payroll policy applications, correcting errors and oversights to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Audit employee pay, benefits, deductions, and leave accruals upon separation, ensuring a smooth transition.


Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, or TASC Certificate).
Three years of clerical/technical experience in payroll processing activities.
Valid Driver's License at the time of application.


Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with processing FMLA Leave cases.
Experience with processing ADA (Americans with Disabilities) Leave cases.
Familiarity with FMLA Federal Rules.
Experience processing Military Leave and Pay.
Experience processing Workers Compensation.
Experience processing Leave of Absences.
Experience with Standard Insurance and high-volume request processing.
