Job Description:
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic part-time Emergency Medical Technician Skills Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll assist students with skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject, evaluate student performance, and provide a professional role model for students.
Responsibilities:
Assist students with skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject
Evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress
Assist lead instructor with skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams
Prepare students for externships and develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession
Provide a professional role model for students and maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area
Requirements:
1 year of experience as an EMT, paramedic, or RN
1 year of experience in training and/or supervisory experience preferred
Current certificate/license to practice as a Paramedic or EMT in the state of California
Thorough understanding of EMS training equipment
Comfortable with computers and technology
Highly organized and detail-oriented
