If you have a passion for Guest Services, helping people with energy, talent and a desire to join an amazing team, please apply today!This is a full time role requiring five 8 hour shift per week - you will work every weekend, and have 2 weekdays off.As a 3+ years experienced Paramedic, most of your responsibilities will be familiar to you - making initial contact with people who have a need, listening, thinking of solutions, providing first aid solutions, performing vital signs, and elevating advanced care to a Registered Nurse. There will also be supporting clinical and administrative tasks, such as – collaborating with the nurse for minor and urgent care treatment, assisting with arrangements for transport, assisting Guests with storage of medications and medical equipment, completion of checklists, stocking and inventory of medical supplies and equipment, while maintaining a clean work environment. You will join a team who work while others play. Keeping Guests safe is something we are very proud to do.The Paramedic will report to Guest Services Manager-Nurses.In This Role, You Will:On any given day, as a Paramedic, you might:Welcome our Guests with a positive, friendly, helpful attitude who present with a medical question or need.Perform and provide intervention and first aid services within your scope of practice as a ParamedicWork collaboratively with Registered Nurses to escalate assessments and support treatment plans for Guests needing additional careAdminister Basic Life Support (including use of AED) when indicatedAssist with the arrangements for GuestsComplete daily checklist, maintain and stock treatment areas, perform inventory and ordering supply tasksMaintain a clean work area and follow disinfecting protocolsCommunicate effectively with Registered Nurse colleagues and other PartnersUphold the Walt Disney Company’s standards of business conductDocument and maintain accurate, detailed records related to interactions and treatment providedQuality check work daily to catch any errors or omissionsYou Will Have:Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:Minimum 3+ years as a ParamedicState of Florida Paramedic CertificationCompassionate, Genuine bedside manner and a deep desire to give the best possible care and Guest serviceStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsPhysical stamina to stand for long periods of time, walk, lift, squat, push, pull and/or carry heavy objects up to 30 lbs.Willingness and ability to work in a team environmentFlexibility to work weekends and holidays, as well as occasional overtimeKnowledge of basic computer programs and ability to work with a laptop/desktopValid Florida Driver’s LicensePreferred Qualifications:It would be great if you also have:Experience working in fast-paced environmentsAbility to speak additional languages, i.e. SpanishProficiency in Microsoft Office ProgramsEducation:High School or GED RequiredSome College Preferred#DXMediaDisability accommodation for employment applicationsThe Walt Disney Company and its Affiliated Companies are Equal Employment Opportunity employers and welcome all job seekers including individuals with disabilities and veterans with disabilities.
