What will the role involve?Own product strategy, delivery and outcomes for 'Primer for Partners'Set direction for the area by translating Primer’s company strategy into clear partner-focused priorities, aligning teams on outcomes, trade-offs, and approachLead the reimagining of how partners unlock value from Primer, building a scalable, flexible platform that supports diverse partner models and long-term growthResolve ambiguity by framing complex platform and ecosystem problems, synthesising input from PMs and partners, and making clear calls on directionLead planning and execution across the area, ensuring strong sequencing, dependency management, and predictable, high-quality launchesBalance short-term partner needs with long-term platform health, making deliberate scope, quality, and technical trade-offsEstablish strong insight loops across partners, merchants, and internal teams so decisions are grounded in real usage, feedback, and market contextBuild and develop a high-performing group of PMs through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations What are we looking for?Experience owning strategy and outcomes for a complex platform or ecosystem product area, ideally involving partners, integrations, or third-party developersStrong product judgement, with a track record of navigating ambiguity and making durable decisions in multi-stakeholder environmentsProven ability to lead execution across multiple teams, improving delivery predictability while maintaining long-term platform qualityDeep product craft, with strong instincts for discovery, prioritisation, and outcome-oriented decision-makingComfort operating in payments or similarly regulated, technical domains, with the ability to reason about downstream regulatory, scheme, or operational implicationsExcellent stakeholder leadership skills, able to influence senior leaders and external partners through clear narratives and evidenceExperience partnering closely with engineering leadership on platform architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offsA people-first leader who invests in developing PMs and building psychologically safe, high-performing teams You may not like it here if:You enjoy working in an office-setting, we are remote-first and always will be!You are not comfortable with shifting context and navigating ambiguityYou don’t enjoy testing your code, we have no testers or QA’s here at Primer✅ Our interview process30 minute call with Talent Lead60 minute Team Interview with Head of ProductTake home task, followed by a 1 hour presentation with Product team members60 minute Primer Values interview with senior stakeholdersWhat’s life like at Primer?We’ve been recognised as a top global employer, #1 in FinTech for ‘flexibility’!We’re building a culture where people can come and do their best work and enjoy it.
