Oversee the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability of the grocery department.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that shelves are consistently stocked with fresh and high-quality products.
Train, coach, and mentor grocery department staff to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of product quality and presentation.
Create and maintain schedules for grocery department employees to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Collaborate with other department managers to plan and execute promotions, displays, and other initiatives to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
Monitor and analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to make informed business decisions.
Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new grocery department employees.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to grocery department staff.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures in the grocery department.
