Grid Integration Engineer
About the position
MastarRec is hiring a Grid Integration Engineer to support renewable and sustainable energy initiatives across the United States. This role focuses on delivering clean energy projects, improving efficiency, and supporting sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have hands -on experience with grid Integration connection applications, network capacity analysis, and grid impact assessments for renewable energy, battery storage, or EV charging infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in helping integrate low -carbon technologies into the contributing to smarter, more resilient, and future -ready energy systems.
Responsibilities
β’ Conduct grid connection feasibility studies and prepare detailed grid impact assessments.
β’ Manage and support DNO/TSO applications, including Statement of Works (SoW) submissions.
β’ Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
β’ Collaborate closely with engineering, development, and project delivery teams on technical and regulatory aspects.
β’ Monitor grid policy changes and provide internal updates and guidance on regulatory implications.
β’ Prepare and manage technical documentation, reports, and correspondence with grid operators and third parties.
β’ Advise renewable energy developers on connection strategies, capacity optimization, and system flexibility.
Requirements
β’ 2β5 years of experience in a Grid Integration, Power Systems, or Network Planning role.
β’ Strong knowledge of US electricity networks.
β’ Experience with grid connection processes.
β’ Proficiency in power systems modelling tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or IPSA.
β’ Understanding of network planning, grid codes, and system balancing principles.
β’ Excellent analytical, report writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
β’ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field (Masterβs preferred).
β’ Knowledge of renewable energy technologies β including solar, wind, or EV charging infrastructure.
β’ Familiarity with ENA processes, smart grid, and distributed energy technologies.
β’ Experience with network visualization tools.
β’ Data analysis and automation skills using Python, Excel VBA, or similar scripting tools.
