Graphic Design Specialist
About the position
The Graphic Design Specialist at Syms Strategic Group (SSG) will provide graphic design support services to a U.S. Federal Government customer. This role involves updating and developing visual communication artifacts, managing communications projects, and creating various graphic design materials to inform and engage senior-level leaders and external customers.
Responsibilities
? Provide graphic designer support services to a U.S. Federal Government customer.

? Support in updating and developing visual communications artifacts using current graphic design methods and standards.
,
? Assist in creating, designing, and managing communications projects for senior-level leaders within VA and external customers.
,
? Provide copywriting, technical writing, proofing, editing, social media content creation, basic data analysis, graphic design, visual design, and video editing services.
,
? Create visual concepts by hand or using computer applications to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate an audience.
,
? Plan, design, and produce graphic exhibits, considering both physical and electronic forms.
,
? Design for a variety of products and activities, including websites, advertisements, books, posters, product packaging, exhibitions, magazines, pamphlets, and displays.
,
? Design corporate communications and corporate identity materials that require the organization's visual brand.
Requirements
? Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

? Ability to juggle multiple tasks, allocate resources, and manage timelines effectively.

? Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior-level government professionals and executive staff.

? Strong interpersonal skills.
,
? Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience.

? Previous video editing and graphic animation experience.
,
? 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design.
Nice-to-haves
? Previous federal government experience strongly preferred.
