Role Overview
We are seeking a
Grant Writer & Strategic Funding Lead
to build and execute our
non-dilutive capital strategy
.
This is not a traditional grant writing role.
We are looking for someone who can:
Identify the right funding opportunities
Position the company strategically
Execute and win grants at scale
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue federal, state, and global grant opportunities
• Lead applications across programs such as National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and Small Business Innovation Research
• Develop and manage a full grant pipeline and submission calendar
• Write and submit high-quality grant proposals and supporting materials
• Align FreeHealth.ai with funding priorities (AI, preventative care, health equity, cost reduction)
• Collaborate with leadership to translate product and clinical vision into fundable narratives
• Track grant performance, reporting requirements, and compliance
Qualifications
• Proven experience securing grants ($100K–$5M+)
• Background in healthcare, AI, biotech, or digital health preferred
• Strong understanding of government funding ecosystems (NIH, NSF, SBIR/STTR, etc.)
• Exceptional writing and storytelling ability
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
What Success Looks Like
• First grant submission within 30 days
• Multiple active grant applications in pipeline
• $500K–$2M+ secured within 6–12 months
• Development of a repeatable, scalable funding engine
Compensation
• Contract
• Bonus tied to grants secured
• Opportunity to transition into full-time leadership role
