Grant QA/QC Specialist Level 2

Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced QA/QC Specialist Level 2 to support our Program Management Group located in Alabama. The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring all program files, documentation, and processes comply with federal, state, and program-specific requirements for the federally funded program. This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness and ensuring program integrity. What you’ll be doing: Conduct detailed quality assurance/quality control reviews of program files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Verify documentation aligns with applicable regulations (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200, program policies, and state requirements) Review intake and eligibility files prior to approval Identify deficiencies and issue corrective actions with clear guidance to staff Track QA/QC findings, trends, and recurring issues Support audit preparation and monitoring reviews Collaborate with intake and program staff to resolve documentation gaps Assist in developing and refining QA/QC procedures and checklists What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in grant programs, compliance, QA/QC, or program monitoring Strong understanding of documentation standards and regulatory compliance Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) Bonus points if you have: Experience with federally funded programs (e.g., ARPA, CDBG, FEMA, or similar) Experience supporting audits or monitoring reviews Familiarity with case management or grants management systems (e.g., Salesforce) Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively Problem-solving and process improvement mindset Why Volkert?
