Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Ā Design, deliver and refine cloud services consumed across IaaS, and PaaS Google Cloud Platform services.
Ā Research and identify the right tools and technology stack based on scalability, latency, and performance needs.
Ā Assess technical feasibility by building rapid PoCs, and finding technological solutions for gaps.
Ā Understanding and experience working with Google Cloud Platform services (Network/IAM/Organization /Project Structure/Security/Monitoring/Logging/compute/storage/Caching) solutions
Ā Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VPC, subnetting, VPN, DNS, and load balancing.
Ā Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform services including Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, DataProc , Pub/Sub, and others.
Ā Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, CloudFormation, GitHub, and Google Cloud Platform native services (deployment manager/source repositories)
Ā Create or contribute to IaC CI/CD pipelines following DevOps practices.
Ā Demonstrate proficiency with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Go, or similar.
Ā Integration of Google Cloud Platform to Active Directory (GSuite and GCDS)
Ā Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
Ā Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
Ā Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, security, and operations to deliver robust cloud solutions.
Ā Prepare and present regular reports on cloud infrastructure status, performance, and improvements.
Ā Collaborate with cloud vendors, customers, and internal teams for delivery.
Ā Be well-versed in taking teams from legacy to modern architecture in production.
Ā Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and achieve results amidst constraints.
Ā Participate in an on-call rotation willingness to participate in escalated issues as required.
Education and Experience:
Ā Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Ā Minimum 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 8 years focused on Google Cloud Platform
Ā 5+ years of experience working in a Kubernetes environment
Ā 5+ years of experience directly building Kubernetes deployments, using Helm Charts leveraging rollout methodologies such as A/B, Blue Green, and/or Canary.
Ā 5+ years of experience with modern DevOps tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
Ā 5+ years of experience with mission-critical production ecosystems
Ā 5+ years of experience analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale, distributed production systems.
Ā Google Cloud Platform certifications are desired but not mandatory
