GIS Analyst – Consultant

Job Description: • Perform independent analysis, design, implementation, modification and upgrade of agency applications for geographic information systems and spatial data for the agency. • Implement, maintain, and provide technical support as the ArcGIS server administrator Assistant. • Coordinate and develop scripting and database management with the client Database Administrator Assistant. • Design, implement and/or modify web, mobile and client/server-based GIS applications for program areas. • Provide technical backup to other modules as assigned. • Adheres to Information Technology application development standards and security requirements. • Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication. • Allow flexibility to support smaller GIS projects or consultation. • Participate in agency meetings that support understanding the scope of GIS applications within agency goals and strategies. Requirements: • A bachelor’s degree in geography or a related field and 3+ years of work experience in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems (GIS). • 3+ years of experience utilizing ESRI’s ArcGIS Maps SDK. • 3+ years of experience with scripting and development languages (Python, HTML, CSS, jQuery and Bootstrap, C#). • 3+ years of experience with SQL Database, ArcGIS Server Administration for ArcGIS Enterprise. • 3+ years of experience with GIS software standards and capabilities; Ability to analyze and accommodate GIS user requirements. • Ability to develop and manage GIS projects effectively.
