General Laborer - Maintenance Helper

Join our team as a General Laborer - Maintenance Helper and play a crucial role in maintaining an organized and clean work environment. This position involves performing various maintenance tasks, including small preventative maintenance, oil changes, minor facility repairs, and assisting trades staff with projects. Additionally, you will help organize the shop, perform outdoor snow removal when necessary, and engage in safety-related tasks. Note: At least one candidate will require a forklift license.

• Maintain and organize scrap, recycling, and waste areas.
• Perform small preventative maintenance tasks and oil changes.
• Conduct minor facility repairs or upgrades.
• Assist trades staff with projects.
• Organize the shop and perform outdoor snow removal as needed.
• Engage in safety-related tasks.
• Assist shipping and receiving with inventory handling, picking, packing, and operating RF scanners.
• Utilize hand and power tools for various tasks.
• Load and unload materials using pallet jacks and forklifts.

• 2+ years of experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

After one year with the company, you become eligible for profit sharing, which can range from a $2,000 to $4,000 end-of-year bonus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your contributions are valued.

This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing company. The work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be working in a dynamic environment that requires the use of various hand and power tools, as well as operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brampton,ON.
