General Internship

Remote Full-time
Interns support U.S.-China relations programs, research, and translation, with a remote, part-time schedule and monthly stipend.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:
• Research assistance for programs and briefing kits for delegations
• Administrative and programmatic assistance for public events, seminars, and programs
• Translating materials and correspondences (English – Chinese)
• News circulation

About You:

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
• Excellent research, writing, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work well and thrive within a team environment
• Academic background in Chinese studies, political science, international relations, or other relevant field
• Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese
• Ability to work 18 hours per week during business hours
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits:

Interns receive a monthly stipend. The position is remote, with business hours from 9 to 5 EDT. Additional benefits may include professional networking opportunities and exposure to U.S.-China relations programs, consistent with similar roles at the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

Training & Development:

Interns gain hands-on experience in research, program support, and translation, with opportunities to learn about U.S.-China relations and participate in professional development through direct involvement in programs and events.

This internship provides valuable experience for current students and recent graduates interested in careers related to international relations, Chinese studies, or program administration, serving as a foundation for future roles in these fields.
