Job title: Legal Writer Company: Gables Search Job description: Our client is currently seeking a full-time Legal Writer for their downtown Cleveland office. The position will execute strategy, provide forward-thinking creative leadership and demonstrate the ability to work effectively across practices, offices and departments. The Writer’s primary responsibilities include updating and improving existing copy and developing new, strategic copy for marketing material, such as attorney biographies, website and internet content, marketing collateral, advertising, press releases, marketing pitches, editing RFP responses, and attorney presentations. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications, including at least 5 years of experience in the legal industry or related industry preferred. Must be able to provide an extensive portfolio of print, online or related work (an electronic submission or URL preferred). Must be able to demonstrate a high-level proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Firm deadlines, quick turnaround times, and fluctuating workloads are common for this position; the ideal candidate will be able to handle these challenges with grace and confidence.
