Fundraising & Sponsorship Specialist (Part-Time)
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission. This position requires strong public relations skills, strategic planning capabilities, and a commitment to building lasting relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Duties
Ā Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet organizational goals.
Ā Identify potential donors and funding opportunities for an online auction, basketball, walkathon and other events.
Ā Help edit and finalize grant writing proposals to secure funding from various sources.
Ā Manage relationships with existing donors and cultivate new partnerships and sponsorships.
Ā Utilize databases to track donor information and fundraising progress.
Ā Volunteer Coordination (as needed): Screen volunteers, support and guide volunteers on specific initiatives when required. Provide occasional leadership for events and community projects. Collaborate with volunteers to organize fundraising events and campaigns.
Ā Market fundraising initiatives through various channels including social media to increase visibility and engagement.
Ā Provide regular reports on fundraising activities and outcomes to stakeholders.
Ā Provide resume and/or details of your work experience, your expected salary per month, and your availability (days/time).
Experience
Ā Proven experience in fundraising, public relations, or related fields is preferred.
Ā Strong skills in strategic planning and relationship management are essential.
Ā Familiarity with databases and software used for tracking donations and donor engagement.
Ā Experience in grant proposal writing is a plus.
Ā Excellent research skills to identify strong funding sources and donor prospects.
Ā Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Ā Be able to meet in person occasionally in Ashburn, VA and during events.
Ā Background in nonprofit leadership or program coordination is a plus.
