As a Senior Microsoft Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with leadership to develop strategic solutions and roadmaps, provide exceptional service and support to... internal customers, and mentor lower-level technicians. This fully remote position is open to candidates residing in Connecticut, Georgia, Ohio, Utah, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas, Wisconsin, Nevada, Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Hawaii, Montana, and New York (least desired location). responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
· Provide exceptional service to internal customers, including end user training and support, and act as main point of contact for the business when escalated support issues arise.
· Accurately document all work performed through a ticketing system, including details and outcomes.
· Oversee requirements gathering, consulting, project planning, design, build, and testing of new and existing Microsoft solutions to meet business needs that support overall business strategies.
· Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all assigned issues; escalate product bugs or unresolvable cases if necessary; notice trends and report recurring problems.
· Leads and documents technical design of MS Solutions enterprise-level architecture and integrations processes.
· Monitor, configure, maintain, integrate, and drive user adoption of the following Microsoft solutions:
o Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Yammer
o Microsoft Teams Suite: Teams, Planner, Stream, Forms, Viva
o Power BI Pro
o SharePoint: On-premises and Online, and third-party tools (e.g., web parts, workflow engines, and content migrators)
o OneDrive
o Power Automate and PowerApps
o Web calls to other enterprise applications (e.g.CRM and ITSM)
· Design, configure, and maintain business process workflows.
· Generate and maintain MS solutions operating procedures and dataflow diagrams.
· Interact with vendor(s) for system and application upgrades and problem resolution.
· Develop design documentation, project plans and test procedures for the installation and upgrade of hardware and software.
· Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
· Maintain awareness, evaluate, and developed communication regarding software releases/updates for all MS solutions.
· Function as MS Solutions subject matter expert and technical advisor to IT and executive leadership, and business partners.
· Maintain architectural awareness of application layers (UI, shared core services, external interfaces, data services, etc.).
· Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technology.
· Provide training and mentorship to lower level employees.
· Ability and willingness to work off-hours and to be on call for emergencies.
· Complete other duties, as assigned
