Fullstack Engineer (Fronted Heavy)

You’ll help improve performance, define modular UI systems, and ship fullstack features end-to-end.Role OverviewAs a Fullstack (Frontend-Focused) Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our engineering culture, development processes, and roadmap.Joining our engineering team means:Designing and building performant UIs for data-heavy, real-time features such as maps, live dashboards, and large tablesDeveloping frontend modules using React, TanStack tools (React Query, Table), and CSS ModulesOwning fullstack features end-to-end, including backend APIs in Node.js where neededCollaborating within a monorepo (Nx) to share code across frontend and backend boundariesContinuously improving UI rendering performance, DX, and maintainabilityWorking closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create intuitive, reliable user experiencesParticipating in brainstorming sessions, customer feedback forums, and product ideationRequirementsYou have 3+ years of experience building production-grade web applicationsYou’re proficient in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQLYou understand SOLID principles and apply clean coding practicesYou’ve built and consumed REST APIs for real-world applicationsYou’ve worked with React or another modern frontend frameworkYou’ve deployed applications to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWSYou’ve used relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and are familiar with writing queries, designing schemas, and handling migrationsYou take responsibility for your work from implementation to deliveryYou collaborate well in a team environment and communicate clearlyYou write clean, maintainable, and tested codeYou’re willing to ask questions, give feedback, and improve your craftYou adapt quickly to new requirements, technologies, or feedbackYou embody our engineering values: learning from mistakes, collaboration, ownership, simplicity, and long-term thinkingYou align with and support our company values (more here) You get extra points forExperience deploying services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Understanding the importance of loosely coupled architectureFamiliarity with refactoring techniques to improve code maintainabilityExperience with TDD or writing different types of automated testsTech StackBackend: TypeScript, Node.js, Koa, Express, Kysely, PostgreSQL, Firebase Firestore (legacy), Redis, BullMQ, ElasticSearch, JestFrontend: TypeScript, React, React Router, Vite, CSS Modules (SASS), TanStack (React Query, Table), Storybook, VitestInfrastructure: Kubernetes (GCP), Nx Monorepo, Feature FlagsBenefitsCompetitive compensation: $75,000 – $140,000/year (based on experience and expertise)Meaningful equity$500/year learning & WFH budgetFlexible PTO and working hoursRemote-first work environment
