We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Para Educator to join our team at Penns Valley Area School District in Pennsylvania. As a Para Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities or other eligible needs, working closely with our certificated staff to provide instructional programs and services. Key Highlights:
Competitive Salary: $15.10 - $19.18 per hour
Location: Pennsylvania (Remote and in-school opportunities available)
Immediate Openings: Start date negotiable, with opportunities to begin immediately
Supportive Environment: Collaborative team and supportive community
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to students, assisting with instructional activities and classroom management
Escort students to and from classes, restrooms, cafeteria, and other areas as needed
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, presentation of learning materials, and student supervision
Help students with personal needs, including hygiene, physical restraint, and IEP goal implementation
Operate and care for classroom equipment used for instructional purposes
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behavior
Requirements:
Completed at least two years of postsecondary study, associate degree or higher, or meet rigorous quality standards
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
Clearances from PA State Police, federal criminal history record, and PA Child Abuse History
Ability to work up to 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime with prior approval
