Monitor patient vitals such as blood pressure and blood sugar, assist with medication management, and doctor visits
Communicate regularly with patients to facilitate lifestyle changes for improved long-term health
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) for patients
Perform other duties as assigned by providers
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Passion for working with older patients and strong customer service skills
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or nurse
Background in preventative patient care, preferably in primary care, cardiology, or diabetes clinic
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Proficiency in computer skills, including having your own computer and reliable internet service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with administrative and clerical skills
Understanding of medical terminology and critical thinking abilities
Certification and licensure as a Medical Assistant, EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, or LPN
High School diploma or equivalent education required, Technical Medical Assistant certification preferred
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience working with chronic condition patients in a healthcare-related setting
Additional certifications or training in medical assistance
