Role Description
We are seeking a well-connected Freelance PR Professional for a contract remote position. The role involves working with The Coalition of Non-Profits/Ahmad Butler Foundation Communications Director in crafting compelling press releases, managing relationships with media outlets, implementing effective public relations campaigns, and handling strategic communications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our team to develop and execute media strategies that align with client goals, ensuring maximum media coverage and visibility. MUST HAVE CONNECTIONS IN THE PHILADELPHIA/NJ AREAS. QualificationsProficiency in writing and distributing Press ReleasesStrong expertise in Public Relations and Media RelationsExceptional Communication and Strategic Communications skillsProven ability to build and maintain media relationshipsExperience working in a remote, contract-based environmentFamiliarity working with non-profit and community organizations is a plus.
Experience
• Proven experience in public relations, journalism, or media relations with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns or coverage
• Excellent writing skills with proficiency in AP style for press releases, articles, and social media content
• Strong research skills to identify media opportunities and industry insights
• Exceptional communication skills for public speaking engagements and stakeholder interactions
• Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms
• Ability to proofread meticulously and maintain high standards of editing across all materials
• Prior experience in marketing or public relations roles is preferred but not mandatory
