Freelance Financial Controller - Bookkeeper - Apparel & E-commerce Experience
Description:
Gotyu Underwear is looking for an A-Player financial controller to help achieve revenue and profit goals.
Develop detailed financial forecasts, manage P&L statements, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Collaborate closely with founders and contribute to achieving a company-wide profit target of 20%.
Requirements:
Master's Degree or equivalent in Financial Controlling, Accounting, or related field with 2+ years of experience (please provide certificates)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar role in the e-commerce sector
Demonstrated success working for an e-commerce brand managing over 800 SKUs
Experience in fashion e-commerce is a significant plus
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in financial forecasting, profit optimization, and cash flow management
Familiarity with Finaloop or similar financial software
In-depth knowledge of U.S. financial regulations and best practices for e-commerce businesses, especially with extensive product catalogs
Expert-level proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
Strong understanding of inventory management and its financial implications
Knowledge of international tax regulations and transfer pricing
Ability to develop and implement financial controls and risk management strategies
Experience in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
Strong communication skills to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Certification such as CPA, CMA, or CIMA is highly desirable
Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
