We seek a detail-oriented freelance copy editor and proofreader to polish manuscripts before publication. Core duties include:
Proofreading manuscripts to fix grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting errorsEnsuring adherence to style guidelines and standardsCopyediting for syntax, tone, continuity, factual inaccuraciesProviding page notes and comments to guide authorsEnsuring quality standards for publication
Requirements:
Copyediting experience with fiction or nonfiction manuscriptsHighly attentive to detail - ability to catch issues in complex contentStrong knowledge of grammar conventions, US EnglishCollaborative, constructive communication skillsPassionate about prepping content for audiences
