Location: Based in England (major cities near airports). For international travel requirements, it would be ideal to live near an easy transport link to European Cities. We are primarily targeting applicants from the London, Birmingham and Manchester areas.Contract: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: A starting salary of Ā£26,990 (+ up to 10% bonus). You will also have the opportunity to increase your salary as your experience and skills grow within the role.Travel: Regular travel across the UK & Europe. There will be occasional work at our head office in Basingstoke.Expected Start Date: October/November 2025Why Hawk-Eye & Why Football?As a Football Systems Operator, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of our services to Premier League and Championship matches. As you gain experience in the role, you will be expected to be involved in more tournaments throughout the UK, Europe and further afield, such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and FIFA Competitions.The role will encompass the installation and operation of our technology at matches, where you will be responsible for our systems. You will need to be prepared to work long days at weekends and midweek evenings, as we work whenever Football happens. Whilst we provide several services in top-flight football, you will initially focus on our Audio Technology service. You will gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team.We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks, but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.What Does A Typical Day Look Like?Pre-match planning and driving the van to the stadium before match daySetting up Hawk-Eye technology in the stadium (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging gantry boxes and running cables)Conducting pre-match set-up, checks and calibration of the systems in accordance with standard proceduresLiaising with stadium staff, match officials and host broadcasters on-siteMonitoring the systems during the match from a pitchside point of viewMonitoring hardware and software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issuesTaking full ownership of our system on-site and being an ambassador for Hawk-EyeBeing the point of contact for Officials in administering and maintaining Hawk-Eye wearable equipment.During the off-season, building and maintaining our hardware and equipmentAssisting with the installation and testing of new products and services Why Is This The Right Job For You?This position is perfect for you if you possess:A technical groundingStrong problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesA passion for innovationA willingness to learnThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressurised environmentAn interest in the sport of FootballEssential SkillsTo be considered for this role, you must have:A driving licenceKnowledge of AOIP systems and networkingUnderstanding of audio flow through multiple devicesAbility to work under pressure within a live stadium environmentStrong professional capacity and communication skills when dealing with clients and officialsAbility to quickly adapt and learn new softwareUnderstanding of basic PC troubleshooting and componentsDesirable SkillsExperience of working with Dante Audio systemsExperience of working with Shure and Lectrosonic audio equipment and softwareKnowledge of audio levels and mixingExperience working in Live EventsAt Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth.
