What You'll Do: Leading Our Food & Beverage Excellence

As a Food Service Team Leader at arenaflex, you'll be at the forefront of our guest experience, combining operational excellence with genuine leadership. Here's what your role encompasses:

Driving Sales and Guest Engagement


Embrace and communicate sales objectives, planning and executing daily and weekly responsibilities to achieve department and store sales goals while maximizing guest engagement
Develop comprehensive food service strategies including technology implementations, corrections, sales plans, inspections, promotions, and pricing change initiatives
Create dynamic schedules that adapt to both guest needs and business requirements, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekend coverage
Monitor and analyze department sales trends, freshness metrics, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, and pricing strategies to identify opportunities for improvement


Modeling Exceptional Guest Service


Demonstrate guest service excellence by maintaining a fresh and fully stocked department during all operating hours
Develop team members into product experts who can authentically share knowledge and recommendations with guests
Create and sustain a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience above all else
Train, coach, and model expectations to consistently deliver our renowned service standards


Ensuring Operational Excellence


Conduct thorough assessments of Food Service back-of-house areas, production spaces, dining areas, and marketing displays to ensure food safety compliance and optimal inventory levels
Walk Food and Beverage standards and execute daily Food Service routines to assess needs and review reporting to identify business gaps requiring follow-up
Ensure strict adherence to all sanitation standards and cleaning schedules, maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and safety
Approve and follow up on team member development against department checklists and schedules
Maintain accurate in-stocks by submitting store-initiated orders following best practices
Implement proper inventory management techniques to ensure precise stock recording and accountability


Leading Brand Standards (Where Applicable)


Lead your team in maintaining all applicable brand standards and production specifications for our specialty partners
Cultivate productive relationships with brand representatives, attend required in-store planning sessions and meetings, and follow up on key focus areas
Complete all required training and certifications related to brand partnerships


Team Leadership and Development


Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions, building a truly guest-driven team
Lead team onboarding and skill development, closing knowledge and skill gaps through hands-on training and real-world experiences
Establish clear goals and expectations while holding team members accountable to these standards
Foster an environment of open communication, continuous improvement, and mutual respect

Operational Flexibility


Address store needs including emergency situations and regulatory visits
Access all areas of the building to resolve guest or team member issues
Support guest services functions including backup cashier, order pickup, and drive-up services while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations
Perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements


What We're Looking For: Your Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Previous retail experience is helpful but certainly not required—we value enthusiasm and potential as much as experience

Physical Requirements


Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately
Proficiency in register operations
Comfortable climbing ladders as needed
Ability to efficiently scan, handle, and move inventory, including frequently lifting or moving products up to 40 pounds
Ability to work in coolers and freezers handling items up to 40 pounds
Capability to work in areas where common allergens may be handled or present
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular attendance required
