A company known for its commitment to innovation in the fresh food manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented and systems-savvy Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to support food safety and quality program execution from anywhere in the United States.
Salary of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager:
$92,000 - $112,000 per year.
Responsibilities of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager:
ā¢ Support the transition from manual to cloud-based FSQA documentation systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, QMS tools).
ā¢ Configure and maintain digital forms, logs, workflows, and dashboards to ensure records are standardized, audit-ready, and accessible across all sites.
ā¢ Assist in building dashboards and reporting tools that track and trend food safety metrics (e.g., CCP deviations, sanitation results, audit scores).
ā¢ Contribute to the development of analytical capabilities and KPIs that enable FSQA teams to monitor performance and verify compliance.
ā¢ Assist in executing and documenting mock recalls to validate traceability and support recall readiness across sites.
Qualifications of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
ā¢ 2-4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance within a food manufacturing environment (fresh, RTH, or RTC preferred).
ā¢ HACCP certification required.
ā¢ Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
ā¢ Familiarity with GFSI schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC) and FSMA requirements.
