This role will be based remotely in the US. This role involves managing and executing mobile drone demonstrations, disaster response efforts, and air-to-air video shoots, ensuring seamless operations through coordination, planning, and safety compliance.What You’ll Do: Supporting Wing’s mobile demo staffing (~1-3 demos/month)Support mobile drone demo evaluation and execution; including but not limited to:Weekly meeting with drone demo PGM and MarComms counterpart to drive demo calendar, evaluation, and execution. Ensuring demonstrations are evaluated properly, including proposing various options, to meet demonstration goals.Coordinate with Flight Ops teams to provide staffing for demosEnsure seamless drone demo execution, including, but not limited to:Demo plans are completed and approved for each scheduled demoEquipment necessary for demonstration is includedResourcing is confirmed and coordinatedExecution of demonstration is successful, with open communication to relevant parties, and post-demo communication on the outcome of demonstrationCreate updated documentation with process and checklist for successful demonstrationsEffectively manage demo projects to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and long-lead items (e.g. novel regulatory approvals) are appropriately tracked and completed on timeLead demo safety risk assessments and internal approval processes Supporting Wing’s disaster response staffing (~1-3 events per year)Support disaster response execution; including but not limited to:Ad hoc meetings to coordinate planning and execution. Coordinate with Flight Ops teams to provide staffing for response effortsEnsure seamless drone disaster response executionCreate necessary documentation e.g., manuals, checklists) for successful disaster response repeatabilityEffectively manage response efforts to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and long-lead items (e.g. novel regulatory approvals) are appropriately tracked and completed on timeLead safety risk assessments and internal approval processes Supporting ad hoc flight events (i.e., demos, disaster response and service, as needed)Supporting air to air video shoots (~10-12/year)Supporting MarComms on shot list and shoot planningManaging air to air video shoots with flight ops teamEnsuring that all Part 107 & Part 135 requirements are met on each shootEnsuring that all shoots do not interfere with business critical flight operations i.e. Walmart operational hours. Coordinating shoot schedules with Flight Ops Flying camera drones to capture video and still photos (MarComms will pay for necessary camera equipment)FPV dronesCinema drones - Mavic 3 pro, Inspire, etc.Within a year in the role, be able to take lead on flight support units (demo / disaster response), including but not limited to:Have successfully completed at multiple business impactful flight events ranging in complexity from simple to difficultDemonstrated strong technical and interpersonal skills throughoutIncludes professionally representing Wing to external audiences and in any speaking rolesRequires up to 75% domestic travel What You’ll Need: Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% of the timeCertification: Hold a Part.107 certification and maintain currencyProblem Solving: Ability to analyze and diagnose issues quickly and efficientlyCommunication Skills: Ability to clearly document operational plans, briefings, safety risk assessments and communicate with other team membersCollaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with engineering groups, product managers, and other stakeholdersAdaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments and adapt to changing requirementsThe US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
