What You’ll Do As Fleet Manager, you’ll play a central role in keeping our teams moving, safe, and supported: Fleet Operations & Optimization Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 500+ unit fleet across multiple brands and regions. Develop strategies to minimize downtime, maximize utilization, and reduce total cost of ownership. Leverage telematics (Geotab, Samsara, or similar) to improve routing, fuel efficiency, and driver safety. Standardize fleet policies, processes, and procedures nationwide. Maintenance & Safety Ensure proactive and corrective maintenance programs keep vehicles reliable and road-ready. Uphold strict DOT, OSHA, and regulatory compliance standards. Partner with providers and internal teams to resolve breakdowns, warranties, and emergency repairs quickly. Vendor & Contract Management Negotiate favorable contracts with leasing partners, OEMs, service providers, and fuel programs. Evaluate vendor performance to ensure cost-effective, high-quality services. Partner with procurement and legal teams on large-scale purchases, leases, and remarketing. Financial Management & Reporting Own and optimize a multi-million-dollar fleet budget. Monitor and report on KPIs like cost per mile, fuel usage, downtime, and accident rates. Drive cost-savings initiatives that never compromise on safety or quality. Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance and support to fleet coordinators, analysts, and drivers. Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, safety, and finance to align fleet goals with business strategy. Advise branch leaders on fleet planning, replacements, and utilization. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years in fleet management, transportation, or logistics (with 3+ years managing 200+ vehicles; 500+ strongly preferred). Deep knowledge of lifecycle management, telematics, and fleet safety. Proven success in vendor negotiations and contract management. Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency with fleet software (Geotab, Samsara, or equivalent) and MS Office Suite. Bonus Points Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or NAFA accreditation. Experience in a fast-growth, multi-brand, multi-location service organization.
