We're looking for a dynamic and qualified candidate to meet and introduce to the clients' team for consideration. The Chief Operating Officer is a Senior Executive Leader in partnership with the Senior Pastor(s) and Executive Leadership. The COO is responsible for the ministry's operations by coordinating, aligning, and supporting each Executive Leaders' department. This candidate will also be responsible for the day-to-day of the Facilities, Campus Planning, and Information Technology teams. • Partnering with, coaching, and supporting the Executive Leaders & their departments • Administration (Finance, Human Resources, and Legal) • Production & Creative Services (Services, Broadcast, Events, & Marketing) • Global Community (Community Groups, Online Services, and Touring) • Los Angeles Community (Services, Partnerships, and Outreach) • Worship & Music Entity • Day-to-day responsibility of the teams responsible for: • Facilities (Cleaning, Maintenance, Insurance, and Facility Rentals) • Security • Information Technology (Website, Church Database, HRIS, Facilities Network, and Accounting Systems) • Serve on Financial Leadership Team, supporting the Chief Administrative Officer in: • The ongoing management of financial policies, budget planning, and day-to-day financial activities, • managing human resource policies, leading performance evaluations, disciplinary action, and advising on organizational structure in an ongoing capacity, • negotiating and managing the contracts of vendors and freelance independent contractors, and • ensure proper controls and policies across all areas of the ministry are implemented and functioning. • Lead one-on-one and team-wide training for the development of the staff in the attainment of a healthy & productive environment • Partner with the Executive Pastor in the staff & church's spiritual leadership. • Serve as an advisor on the direction of the ministry to the Senior Pastor(s) and Pastor Emeritus. • Leading the strategic planning processes (short- and long-term) with the Senior Pastor(s) and Executive Leadership team in developing the church as a local and global ministry and taking operational ownership to execute with the team. • Design and manage a Key Performance Indicators dashboard & reporting system in partnership with each member of the Executive Leadership and the Lead Team. • Attend and serve at ministry events and services in a leadership capacity. The right candidate for this role has a LOVE for the capital "C" Church, seeing lives changed and being the hands & feet of Jesus Christ. As a Senior Leader, the COO is a partner and a coach to the entire leadership team, staff, and the volunteer community, so there is no place for ego and no task too small. Even though the title issues authority and responsibility, the COO should desire to build relational authority and trust beyond simply their place in the organizational structure. While focused on growth and expansion, the COO also has a heart for a healthy team who knows and has a relationship with God. Lastly, the COO will have tremendous comfort leading through the grey area while quickly parsing the black and white for the teams. • Entrepreneurial & Innovative by nature • Excellent organizational, analytical, financial, interpersonal, and communication skills • Tact, discernment, and discretion in handling sensitive & confidential matters • 10+ Years in Operations and Finance Leaderships roles are required • A desire and track record in "building big high-capacity leaders." • 5+ Years in non-profit roles is a plus • Located in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles • Living above reproach and in a relationship with God Expected salary: Location: Los Angeles, CA Apply for the job now!
