First Mortgage Processing and Closing Manager

FORUM Credit Union is looking for a dynamic First Mortgage Processing and Closing Manager to be a crucial part of our leadership team. You'll manage the daily operations of our processing and closing teams, driving performance, and fostering staff development.

The First Mortgage Processing and Closing Manager is responsible for implementing the policies, procedures, and corporate strategies. This position will oversee the processing and closing functions of first mortgage, which includes training and developing staff, ensuring loans are processed and closed in a timely and accurate fashion, and maintaining compliance with credit union and investor product guidelines.

This position is onsite in our Corporate HQ in Fishers, Indiana.

What you'll do
• Provide direction for Mortgage Processing and Closing team, ensuring that workflow is managed in an efficient manner in order to meet defined processing and closing objectives.
• Develop and maintain written policies and procedures regarding the Processing and Closing functions, evaluating pipeline information to assist in areas needed to improve life line of a file.
• Monitor processing and closing activities, ensuring that procedures and systems remain competitive and conform to Credit Union and investor guidelines.
• Have a knowledge of underwriting guidelines for FNMA, FHA and VA loans.
• Work in tandem with Home Equity and Mortgage File Coordinator Manager to develop, implement, monitor and recommend changes to operational processes and efficiencies.
• Manage the selection, performance, development and coaching of employees; recognize and reward employees for accomplishments.
• Conduct team meetings to facilitate and allow for consistent communication between teammates and departments.

What we are looking for
• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
• Three to five years of similar or related mortgage and leadership experience
