Job Details
Under general direction of the designated Manager, the Firewall Architect - Network is responsible for installing, modifying, removing and analyzing networking hardware and software on the Company's enterprise network. This position includes enterprise network architecture design and project management.
Install, configure, and support network and firewall infrastructure globally.
Develop requirements for firewall rule implementation including App ID, source and destination IPs, Ports, and Transport Protocol.
Works with other IT teams of network engineers in performing vulnerability and fault... analysis on enterprise perimeter devices and developing and implementing system remediation and recovery plans.
Global enterprise network security solutions and architecture.
Global enterprise network security design standards and documents.
Identifying root cause of incidents and making appropriate recommendation to avoid future failure.
Being proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service quality.
Strictly following Move to Production process including checking that tools and documentation are up to date.
Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires ten (10) or more years of relevant IT work experience.
Relevant certifications
Expert level Firewall experience (Palo Alto preferred)
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of NGFW and FWaaS.
Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
Good analytical skills with attention to detail
Advance knowledge routing and switching.
Good knowledge of general data center technology.
