Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to management and boards, facilitating informed decision-making.
Identify and implement enhancements to accounting practices, internal controls, and compliance measures to uphold industry best standards.
Manage critical transactional processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end closure.
Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization to support strategic initiatives.
Oversee grant management, fund allocations, and reporting to funding sources to ensure transparency and compliance.
Prepare for and oversee annual audits, ensuring all financial obligations are met.
Educate clients and team members on financial best practices and operational efficiencies to promote financial literacy and sustainability.
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with various general ledger systems, particularly QuickBooks.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of working independently while providing prompt and effective support.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are an advantage but not mandatory.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
Previous experience in nonprofit accounting or consulting is preferred but not mandatory.
CPA certification is a plus.
