Purpose of the Role As a Financial Analyst, Intermediate, you will conduct and document moderate to complex financial analysis projects that support strategic initiatives across UPMC. Your insights will help guide key business decisions and ensure financial sustainability in a rapidly evolving industry. Location: This position will be based out of The Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home with a hybrid schedule which includes some days in office per week and some days at home per week. What You'll Do • Interpret financial transactions and events to support strategic business decisions. • Analyze financial data to assess past performance and forecast future trends. • Perform cost-benefit analyses and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures. • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning. • Create insightful reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL. • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with GAAP. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals. • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
