About the position HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Accounts Payable team! This position can be a remote opportunity. The selected candidate will be responsible for approvals, audits, monthly reconciliation, accruals, check run processing, and wire processing. Responsibilities • Responsible for approving new vendors entered in the accounting system and approving Accounts Payable vouchers. • Verifies all vendor banking information establishment and changes with our suppliers. • Audits the accuracy of vendor information entered into the accounting system. • Review, coordinate, and reconcile wire payments. • Research and analyze voucher data. • Explains invoice processing, invoice payment status, and/or AP policies to internal and external customers. • Provides technical advice to resolve complex invoice discrepancies. • Develop and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. • Interface with internal and external auditors in completing audits. • Calculate monthly Accounts Payables accruals. • Responsible for check run processing, ensuring all vouchers are approved, reports are reviewed for accuracy and completeness, and may be tasked to go into the office to complete the Accounts Payable check run. • Complies with all applicable accounting and governmental regulations. • Provides guidance to less experienced Accounts Payable Analysts. • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience. • Experience working in all aspects of Accounts Payable. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. • Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications including Costpoint. • Able to understand and solve invoice and payment problems effectively. • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
