Financial Analysis Specialist - Sales Forecasting

The Financial Analysis Specialist will support the Distribution Analytics function by assisting with sales forecasting, planning, and reporting for Private Market Funds and related products.ResponsibilitiesAssist Director (LFD Finance) with the generation of a monthly Private Market Funds sales forecastAssist the team analysts with the generation of sales forecasts for RSD (Annuities, 401(k)) & ISD (Life, MoneyGuard (LTC), and Executive Benefits)Run forecast scenarios through Anaplan, ensuring correct inputs and assumptionsSupport updates to forecast assumptions, trends, and variance explanationsAssist with documentation of forecast changes and preparation of materials for Product Heads and Distribution leadershipSupport development of Private Market Funds, RSD & ISD annual and quarterly sales plans, goals, and projectionsAssist with preparation of planning materials & outputs, including tables, charts, and supporting analysisHelp model scenario analyses evaluating distribution strategies, product mix shifts, and plan design considerationsProduce daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports supporting both Senior AnalystsMaintain and distribute dashboards tracking production, pipeline, and key performance metrics across product linesEnsure accuracy and consistency of recurring reports using standardized processes and quality checksPrepare and validate datasets used for forecasting, planning, and leadership updatesPull and organize data from internal systems including CRM, policy admin systems, Anaplan, and sales reporting platformsProduce the monthly Enterprise Sales ReportRespond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests from Senior Analysts or Distribution leadersAssist with preparation of presentations, executive summaries, and leadership analysis materialsSupport process improvements across reporting, forecasting, and planning workflowsCollaborate with Anaplan, Sales Operations, and Distribution teams to maintain data quality and alignmentSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Business, Mathematics, or related field1–3 years of data or business analytics experience preferred (internships acceptable)Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic modelingAbility to work with large datasets across multiple systemsHigh attention to detail with strong accuracy standardsStrong communication skills with the ability to summarize insights clearlyCuriosity and willingness to learn product fundamentals across annuities, 401k, life, LTC, and executive benefitsKnowledge & experience with some or all products that LFD distributes: Private Market Funds, Annuities, 401k Plans, Life Insurance, MoneyGuard (long term care) and Executive BenefitsExperience with Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics toolsPrior experience in sales reporting, financial analysis, or insurance/retirement product environmentsFamiliarity with CRM systems and production data sourcesAbility to manage multiple priorities while supporting multiple stakeholdersBenefitsClearly defined career tracks and job levels, along with associated behaviors for each of Lincoln's core values and leadership attributesLeadership development and virtual training opportunitiesPTO/parental leaveCompetitive 401K and employee benefitsFree financial counseling, health coaching and employee assistance programTuition assistance programWork arrangements that work for youEffective productivity/technology tools and trainingCompany OverviewLincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) helps people to confidently plan for their version of a successful future.
