As a Data Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data storage and processing solutions that drive business growth and inform strategic decisions. This is a full-time remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities Design and implement data storage solutions, including all layers of data architecture (ingestion, storage, serving layer) in Azure cloud. Develop and execute data processing plans using various ETL tools for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and job scheduling. Ensure data security by implementing role-based access control, masking, and scrambling sensitive information. Monitor and optimize data storage and processing using monitoring tools, file format optimization, and query tuning. Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), Spark Pools, Synapse SQL pools, and SQL Managed Instance to drive data engineering initiatives. Manage stakeholders and drive timely execution of tasks using agile methodologies. Build robust and scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced environment. Lead and mentor team members on technical skills and best practices. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and experience delivering large-scale projects on time. Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), PySpark, Spark SQL, T-SQL, and data modeling. Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and ability to deliver reliable project outcomes. High data quality standards and strong analytical skills. Experience with Azure Functions (coded in Python) is a plus. Certification in DP-203 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is desirable.
