Financial Accounting Analyst

Accounting Analyst Remote • Perform variance analysis for assigned financial statement line items for the P&L and Balance Sheet • Prepare Segment Financial Reporting quarterly requests such as footnote disclosures, governmental reporting, etc. • Support Finance inquiries on an ad hoc basis • Responsible for completing journal entries and account reconciliations for various lines of business • Ability to review deliverables and serve as a resource to others on the team for accounting questions • Perform ad hoc projects in support of the organization and business • Responsible for monitoring and testing system interfaces with the front of house systems and general ledger • Ability to document in detail procedures performed for tasks and assist with process documentation for items that are taught • Minimum experience of 4-6 years in accounting, preferably in both public and private accounting Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills • Ability to succeed in a team environment Ability to manage competing priorities • Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills • Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings Ability to adapt quickly, learn new tasks independently, and resolve issues • Ability to learn and implement new tools to improve processes High energy level; positive attitude; strong work ethic; self-sufficient • Strong leadership and project management skills • Demonstrated ability to learn different accounting systems. Preferred Qualifications • Big 4 or other Public Accounting experience • CPA or CPA candidate preferred Required Education • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Additional Information: Must be very strong at documentation as work is being transitioned to another group and needs to be cleaned up and ready to hand off.
