About the Role We are looking for an experienced leader in internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) with strong technical expertise in SAP to join our team. In this role, you will lead the global implementation of ICFR, including control design, rationalization, and standardization. This role will provide ongoing oversight and guidance while partnering closely with Accounting Leadership to ensure long-term sustainability. As Gore is a private company, the ICFR program is a relatively new initiative, and we have taken the opportunity to rationalize and automate our controls where we can. The approach will emphasize maintaining sound financial practices while avoiding the excessive requirements often associated with public company compliance.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of the company’s ICFR compliance program
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls related to financial reporting, with a strong focus on SAP-based processes and systems
Collaborate with business, IT, Finance, and IA to identify, assess, and mitigate control risks within SAP and related business processes
Coordinate cross-functionally and provide oversight of key SAP access management controls
Evaluate changes in the SAP environment (upgrades, new modules, process changes) for ICFR impact and coordinate appropriate control adjustments in Auditboard
Provide oversight for control remediation activities, ensuring timely resolution of control deficiencies
Provide stakeholders with training and guidance on ICFR compliance, internal controls, and SAP system controls, and support change management to help establish a formal controls environment
Prepare and present reports on ICFR compliance status, key risks, and remediation progress to senior Leadership
Maintain Risk and Control Matrix in Auditboard and launch program workstreams, self-assessments etc
Liaise with external auditors as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience managing ICFR programs
Knowledge across manual business controls, ITGCs and automated controls
Experience with sox management tools
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, COSO framework, and external audit methodologies
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 15%

Desired Qualifications
Extensive technical expertise in SAP environments, including configuration, security, and control design is preferred
Experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies is highly desirable
Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, ACA, CIA) preferred
