Field services Engineer

Cognizant is a leading provider of IT services, and they are seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT infrastructure while ensuring minimal downtime and adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices Diagnose and resolve incidents within defined SLAs, escalating when required Perform break/fix, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), and preventive maintenance activities Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for complex issue resolution Ensure compliance with security, safety, and customer policies while working onsite Document incidents, resolutions, and asset updates accurately in ticketing systems Skills Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues Hands on experience with desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripheral devices Working knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking (LAN/WAN), and ITSM tools Ability to perform IMAC, break/fix, and onsite support activities independently Good communication and customer handling skills Ability to work under pressure and meet SLA commitments Awareness of security, safety, and compliance standards Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off 401(k) plan and contributions Long-term/Short-term Disability Paid Parental Leave Employee Stock Purchase Plan Company Overview Cognizant is a professional services company that helps clients alter their business, operating, and technology models for the digital era.
