We are seeking a dynamic and safety-focused Training Manager to scale a role that will begin with leading a team of Advanced Autonomous Vehicle Operators and expand over time to broader training support. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between technical operations and workforce development. You will not only manage the daily performance of high-level operators, but also design the educational infrastructure that allows them to mentor others and scale our operations safely.
As a direct report to the Senior Training Manager, you will play a key role in defining training standards, managing our Learning Management System (LMS), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.
Essential Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and support a team of Advanced Autonomous Vehicle Operators across multiple site locations, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Support onsite operations management personnel to ensure operators are maximizing autonomous capabilities while maintaining strict safety protocols.
Review and audit operator reports regarding vehicle behavior, software errors, and disengagements to ensure feedback is clear, effective, and actionable for engineering teams.
Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment, resolving conflicts and championing career development for direct reports.
Apply Adult Learning Principles to design, implement, and update training programs.
Develop and maintain a library of training reference materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and job aids that are accessible and up-to-date.
Mentor Advanced Operators on how to effectively train and develop peers, establishing a scalable peer-mentorship program.
Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) to assign courses, track completion rates, and manage certifications.
Analyze training performance metrics to identify knowledge gaps and areas for operational improvement.
Collaborate with the Senior Training Manager to evolve the scope of the training program as the technology and fleet size grow.

The foresight to build training processes that can grow from a team of 10 to a team of 100 without losing quality.
Technical skill in managing user hierarchies, course uploads, and reporting within Learning Management Systems (e.g., Litmos, Docebo, Canvas).
The unique ability to translate complex engineering feedback into simple, actionable instructions for operators, and conversely, translate operator feedback into clear technical reports.
