About the AMD – HPI Dedicated Field Application Engineer:MarketStar is looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Engineer or (Field Application Engineer, FAE) to support our new AMD/HP Alliance team. The FAE will support field engineering engagement with customers as needed to demonstrate how AMD technology can support needs. The FAE will have a special focus on pre-sales activity as well as provide development support activity as needed.Location: US - RemoteWhat will you do?Develop technical relationships with target end customer accounts in partnership with HPIHelp win new commercial client and workstation opportunities by working with HPI and end customers by establishing technical solutions based on AMD technologyWork with AMD internal teams across the client Business Unit and HPI GAM to influence/build technical presentations and documentation to be delivered in the fieldFor priority pipeline opportunities, work directly with end-customers to optimizeworkloads and applications on HPI/AMD-based commercial solutionsDeliver technical presentations and sales pitches to influence new AMD sales withcustomers and partnersProvide technical assistance to NA sales personnel and the end customer in theevaluation, design and development of AMD based client and workstation solutionsBuild business and technical acumen, enabling to gain further "mindshare" withinthe customer baseTechnically qualify, prioritizeand enable resources to sales opportunitiesEngage and manage relationships with HPI's Technical Consultant teamPartner with sales in determiningpossible application of AMD based HPI productsand solutions to meet customer requirementsPerform technical presentations, training and updates for HPI, partners andprospectsTranslate customer business issues and requirements into technical solutionopportunities/engagements that best leverage AMD HPI based product offeringsPossess a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly articulatethe technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD versus itscompetitorsAssist with the solution development/architectural design to meet specificcustomer needsAnalyze HPI AMD product solutions and evaluate product performance based oncustomer needsKeep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions and work with internal teams toprovide competitive responses where neededArticulate AMD based technology offerings across multiple verticalsInstall and test solutions in-house, as required, to ensure successful deploymentsand evaluationsProvide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to end customer developmentand software teamsWhat will you need to succeed?Broad technical understanding of client CPUs/GPUs, and platform architectureKnowledge of microprocessor architectures, commercial ecosystem environments including Operating systems (Windows, Linux), compilers, drivers, benchmarks, and targeted applications that may be used to validate client and workstation platformsExcellent problem-solving, time-management, prioritization, organizational, and collaborative skills, with strong communication abilities and a proven track recordin CPU and server system architectureAbility to travel up to 40%.
