Fidelity Senior Claims Professional (Attorney)
Zurich North America is hiring a Fidelity Senior Claims Professional (Attorney) to join our team! We are open to hiring talent in who is located within the U.S.. This is a virtual position so you will have a home-based office.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of moderate to high complexity Fidelity and Crime claims under primary and excess commercial crime policies, financial institution bonds, and crime coverage parts of package policies. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing fidelity proofs of loss and supporting documents, performing coverage analysis, determining potential exposure and setting appropriate reserves. They will resolve claims according to Best Practices and within authority limits. They will regularly communicate with customers and brokers and may be dedicated to handle claims for specific accounts. There may be opportunities to handle Surety claims in the future.
Primary accountabilities include:
? Analyzing coverage, liability and damages
? Participating in mediations and negotiating settlements
? Drafting coverage and denial letters, underwriter notification of claim issues, etc.
? Drafting case summary reports in connection with significant reserve increases and trial preparation
? Directing activities of defense counsel
You must be able to travel approximately 25% to meet with customers and for other business needs that may arise.
Basic Qualifications:
? Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Fidelity Legal area
AND
? JD and 5 or more years of legal practice experience in the insurance area
? Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
? Experience in insurance claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
? Negotiation experience
? Customer service experience
? Microsoft Office experience

? Member of the bar
? Detail oriented
? Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
? Claims handling experience including Fidelity and Crime policies
? Analytical skills
? Strong communication skills, oral and written
? Ability to multi-task
? Organization and time management skills

? Experience collaborating across work groups
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position. The proposed salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $182,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
