Job Description:
As a FedEx Express Courier Driver, you are the face of the company, responsible for the pick-up and delivery of packages. You will operate company vehicles and adhere to all company policies, safe driving practices, and maintain a professional image at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Load and unload packages in a safe and timely manner
2. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for package deliveries
3. Monitor delivery service timelines to ensure timely deliveries
4. Maintain professional and positive customer interactions at all times
5. Comply with all FedEx Express and government regulations, standards, and policies
Requirements:
1. Must possess a valid state driver’s license
2. Must meet all Department of Transportation requirements and be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate from the Department of Transportation
3. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 pounds
4. Knowledge of the local area would be an advantage
5. Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
Educational Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Previous professional driving experience is preferred but not required as full training will be provided.
