We are seeking a motivated, experienced facility-based coder with complex coding experience in acute care facility, specifically in Interventional Radiology procedures.
Requirements:
• 4+ years recent coding experience in Facility-based coding of Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA; CIRCC certification preferred.
• Ability to complete a coding assessment within 48 hours post-interview.
• Flexible hours with shifts between 5am-7pm, Monday-Friday.
• This is a fully remote position available in specified states.
Position Summary: This role involves evaluating medical records, assigning appropriate charges for procedures and supplies in accordance with coding guidelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Core Functions include:
• Analyzing medical information and accurately charging procedures using CPT, HCPCS, and other codes.
• Consulting with medical providers for clarification and complete record creation.
• Providing quality assurance and compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Working independently with guidance as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or technical degree, with demonstrated knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles, and 4+ years relevant experience. Certification as CCS, CPC, or CIRCC required.
Preferred Qualifications: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS-P certifications are a plus.
