Fabric Assistant

They are seeking a Fabric Assistant to research, source, and develop fabrics that align with the brand's quality and performance requirements while collaborating with various teams throughout the development process.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Fabric Manager and Sr Director in researching new seasonal fabrics appropriate for the J.Jill aesthetic, quality metrics, IMU and ESG goalsParticipate in cascading fabric trend direction to Mills, overseas Agents and DesignWork with Design and Fabric Manager on seasonal fabric selections and manage the development process for specific departments from seasonal concept launch (research) to line adoption (fabric finalization/booking)Maintain and organize the fabric library on a seasonal and ongoing basisCreate and maintain materials in PLMCreate, manage and update seasonal fabric charts for overseas offices and internal J.Jill partnersCommunicate with mills and agents regarding fabric inquiries, reviewing the accuracy of fabric information received from overseas offices, and ensuring that information is received in a timely manner within seasonal deadlinesCollaborate with Product Development & Design on garment costing as pertains to garment fabric cost.
