As a member of the SEAR team, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative group of security researchers and engineers who are passionate about identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in our products. **About the Role** As a Vulnerability Research Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of security researchers and engineers in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in our products. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, hardware engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure that our products are secure and reliable. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies and processes to prevent and respond to security incidents. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a team of security researchers and engineers in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in our products * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security strategies and processes * Conduct security research and analysis to identify vulnerabilities in our products * Develop and implement tools and techniques to detect and prevent security threats * Work closely with software development, hardware engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure that our products are secure and reliable * Develop and implement security training and awareness programs for Apple employees * Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and adapt our security strategies and processes accordingly **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field * Minimum 5 years of experience in security research and analysis, with a focus on low-level technologies such as kernel, boot ROMs, firmware, and hardware * Strong understanding of operating system internals, including kernel and device driver development * Experience with reverse engineering, exploit development, and vulnerability analysis * Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of security researchers and engineers * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field * Experience with security architecture and design, including secure coding practices and threat modeling * Familiarity with Apple's security products and services, including iOS, macOS, and iCloud * Experience with security testing and penetration testing, including vulnerability scanning and exploitation * Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, including AWS and Azure * Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical skills in security research and analysis, including reverse engineering, exploit development, and vulnerability analysis * Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of security researchers and engineers * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively * Strong understanding of operating system internals, including kernel and device driver development * Familiarity with security architecture and design, including secure coding practices and threat modeling * Experience with security testing and penetration testing, including vulnerability scanning and exploitation **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Apple, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
